 TFS Corporation acquires Mt Romance
TFS Corporation (TFS), the world’s largest Indian Sandalwood plantation company, is the parent company of Mt Romance Australia.
The publicly-listed TFS (ASX Code: TFC) was established in 1997 and has over 1,700 hectares of the endangered Indian Sandalwood (Santalum album) species established in plantations in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
Mt Romance was purchased by TFS in August 2008. The sale teams up two leaders in the global Sandalwood industry, coupling the world’s largest Indian Sandalwood plantation with the global leader in WA Sandalwood oil production.
Through its subsidiary Mt Romance, TFS has emerged as a vertically integrated Sandalwood company, shoring up capabilities from plantation to product.
Frank Wilson, founder of TFS Corporation, is a firm believer in the Mt Romance values of sustainable and socially-responsible conduct.
“Mt Romance and TFS share a commitment to sustainable development. The products offered by TFS and Mt Romance as its subsidiary offer an important alternative to the global Sandalwood market.
“TFS can now offer the world’s largest supply of Western Australian Sandalwood oil and prospective supply of Indian Sandalwood oil in an ethical, sustainable manner.”
